The Beautiful Shenandoah Valley

This weekend I had the opportunity to visit Shenandoah Valley. I didn't have a lot of time for sight seeing, but on Sabbath I took the scenic route from SVA to the airport. Here are some of the highights. (I forgot my camera so these pics are not mine.)

  • Luray- Tiny town out of the 50’s. Stone churches and antique stores on the little streets.
  • The weather was goregous, especially for June! The sign in Luray said 65 degrees and it was a nice sunny day.
  • Beautiful countryside: silos and hay bales, horses, multiple barns from the old and dilapidated to the new bright red.
  • Green everywhere from the trees to the grass to the corn crops
  • No cell service on parts of the route
  • I saw a deer right in the middle route 340!
  • I was very amused to see this exciting sign on the door to Taco Bell “Breaking news for Taco Bell. Major Credit cards now accepted!!"
